Les Gets - getting here

Les Gets lies across the border of Chablais and Faucigny in the Haute Savoie (click here for map) on the "Route des Grands Alps". The village is situated at 1172m and the slopes rise to above 2000m in the local ski areas of Nyon and Chamoissiere. Its geographical position in the mountain pass gives it a snow record which compares favourably with higher ski resorts. The village lies between the two mountains of Mont Chery and Les Chavannes, and it is possible to ski/mountain bike down to the village on both sides of the valley throughout most of the winter/summer seasons. The resort is known to stay open when many are closed due to a huge investment in a system of snow cannons and of course the hard work of Les Gets's piste maintenance team. Les Gets is part of the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest linked ski systems with 14 resorts and over 600km of piste. In summer the Portes du Soleil lift system stays open and allows long distance tours of the Chablais by bike.

One hour by car from Geneva airport and only 20 minutes from the nearest motorway and railway station, Les Gets is easily accessible by air, road or train.
