Les Gets is reknown for being a child friendly resort. All the facilities are located in a fairly level town centre and a free petit train runs all day so that you can all get around easily. In winter there is an open air ice rink and in summer a traditional merry-go-round in the village square outside the tourist office. Both of our chalets are near the centre of town and there is normally no need for transport in the daytime or evenings.

In Chalet du Coin we have a playroom, completely separate from the lounge dining area, with a PS2/DVD and video where your children can make as much noise as they like without disturbing anyone else in the chalet. We provide crayons and paper and a small selection of games and films. Do make sure you bring their favorite DVDs and games!

Chalet du Coin also has a garden where children can play and where snowmen and snowball fights abound!

As you can imagine, there are a number of insurance and safety issues relating to anyone you wish to employ to work in our chalet as a child carer. You must therefore discuss this with us and obtain our agreement before engaging anyone, other than paying guests of course, to babysit in the evenings or during the daytime on the chalet premises.

Les Gets is very fortunate to have a professionally run winter creche facility in the centre of town near the ESF Ski School, about 450m from Chalet du Coin. If the weather is very bad, or you are struggling to get your children to lessons on time in the morning, we can normally give you a lift, just ask.

This activities club welcomes children with or without their ski class. Children are accepted for full or half days (a midday meal is provided in a nearby restaurant) for game in the snow, sledding, walks, games, reading, videos, indoor activities.

Entrust your children to our qualified staff with total confidence. Enjoy a carefree holiday. “Les Fripouilles” welcomes children between the ages of 6 months and 4 years, in the Maison des Gets, every day of the week except Saturday, from 21/12/08 to 13/04/09.

Qualified staff supervise the children during indoor activities (drawing, painting, water games, story-telling, etc.) and as they discover the joys of snow in the little garden. At Les Fripouilles, the children can take their time; we respect their individual pace and rythm, because they are on holiday too…
